A Prayer Furnace update from Timothy Carr

Let me take this opportunity to let everyone in on the current status of the Prayer Furnace.

WPF Building Plans

Our Tuesday worship nights have been so sweet with the Lord’s presence. His heart for us is wonderful and we are loving the fact that God wants and longs for us as His kids. In Matthew we are called to wait and tarry with the Lord. As David the worshiper found, we too are finding healing as we rest in His presence.

The Prayer Furnace vision is simply to allow the Father to have a habitation among us as the bride of Christ in Wilmington and the region. We are so excited about the Church in Wilmington and the work of the Holy Spirit among all the believers and families. He truly is the God of restoration and we are the recipients of an unfailing Kingdom and love. With great excitement and joy we are announcing that we have secured an architect and site to construct the new prayer room building. We are moving ahead and should start construction soon. This is the site where we will gather the prayer force from all over the city and from many wonderful fellowships. We will worship and contend for the habitation of the Lord for all. We as the Church will pray and intercede for the Church in our city to mature into the calling of Christ Jesus in us.

I believe this is the greatest time in history and we have a remarkable but challenging opportunity right in front of us. I want to personally invite you to join us as we move toward the building launch with attending one of our Fire on the Altar worship nights held the last Friday of the month.

As we move toward July we will be moving into our semi-permanent space and will continue to hold our Tuesday nights of worship and impartation at the new location. Look to the schedule on the web site for details. Thank you so much for your prayers and loving support for the prayer furnace and our staff.

Be encouraged! You are a living temple and the Lord of all seeks to rest in you and me.

Grace & many blessings,
Timothy Carr, Director WPF

  6. Fire on the Altar & Seattle this Monday | Michael Carr // personal blog of ponders & travels - 26. Jun, 2010

[...] Last night the Wilmington Prayer Furnace (new website, I suggest you check it out) held the first “Fire on the Altar” meeting at Wrightsville Beach. We took over the Lumina Hall event center with a sound system, several keyboards and a van load of guitars and drums. The night was focused on worship, enjoying the presence of God and inviting His presence to stay with us in the city. The Prayer Furnace will host these meetings for the next few months to help share the vision of the prayer room and give the city an idea of what we mean by worship, prayer, intercession, etc. [...]
