Vision

The Wilmington Prayer Furnace is a community of believers, a Kingdom people who receive the revelation of the church through the spirit of prayer and worship, a people of unity who are one in Christ (Eph 2:22). A people who release the leadership and supremacy of the kingdom of God through a culture of supernatural living, a lifestyle of worship and love bound service to reflect and demonstrate the Kingdom of heaven on earth in the likeness of Jesus’ word’s and deeds. (Matt 16:9)

The Wilmington Prayer furnace is led by full-time and part-time self-supporting staff who will serve as missionaries to the region, many others will serve as volunteer staff. Through partnership with individuals and local churches, we will see night and day prayer established and a full time prayer movement birthed within the region.

We are a community of relational people who are committed to restoration, desiring to walk fully in the first commandment, worshiping no other God’s but the one true God, the father of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are committed to contend for and receive the Spirit of Truth, living it out in turn according to our individual callings. (Eph. 5) In this manner that we might love, identify and equip those who are willing to hear and respond to God’s spirit. Through communion in the place of prayer we want to see people who will learn to rule in fullness through the place of intimacy with the Lord and follow when He says go, to see this equipping through the encounter with Jesus radically impact lives in an outward measure, taking the heart of Christ who Himself longs to go to the streets and take back the mountains.

We exist to serve the Wilmington region through the ministry of night and day prayer, in the spirit of the tabernacle of David. (Ps 132) Our passion is to see the foundations of the fathers and mothers released to the emerging generation of forerunners and revivalists who will profess Jesus in every sphere of society by operating in the fullness of their inheritance through the manifestation of his word by the power of his spirit in signs and wonders.

At the core of the Wilmington Prayer Furnace is a day and night prayer room, serving to minister to the Lord, the Wilmington area, and the Nations. Relationship with people in accord with the power of sustained prayer in unity with the heart of God for the city and the released power of the gospel on earth is essential for the release of transformation, the birthing of revival and the genuine display of God’s justice for the poor, oppressed and unborn throughout the region and nations.

“And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry out to him day and night? Will he delay long over them? I tell you he will give justice to them speedily.” -Luke 18:7-8

We set ourselves to live out our identity as the Body of Christ who himself is the Governmental Center of God on earth, and we the chosen Bride for his son. Continually worshiping, watching and waiting (Ps. 132) our focus is to build and cultivate a place of sustained prayer and worship, where the body of Christ at large may encounter Jesus Christ and his transformational power through his presence day or night.

We contend in this that we might see the fulfillment of Matt 21:13 -that the house of the Lord would be a house of prayer for all nations. We abide in the context of Ps. 89: I will uphold my covenant with him and my love I will never remove from him. We desire to be a people of one thing (Ps 27:4) who walk in the power of our words, a people of steadfast love and faithfulness unto our God, which spills over onto our brother from the river of his heart for them and our own knowledge of ourselves in him. A people who display to each other our love for the Lord and the love in his eyes towards us, a people who translate the script of heaven to the parchment of the earth.

We are committed to contending for the revealing of the sons of God who are called to rule and reign with him on earth. In addition, contending for the church through compassion by actively pursuing to know the heart and will of Jesus Christ, the God-Man who is seated at the right hand of the Father. That we would tap into his very intercession for us and partner with the Bridegroom as the Bride for the shifting of a life, a people, a city, a region, a nation, and the world, through beholding and releasing his heart by the power of the spirit of wisdom and revelation.
